Michelle Pinto, RMHCi
About Me
Hello,
My name is Michelle Pinto, I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor intern (RMHCi). I have been in the field of psychology for more than 8 years. I received my Master of Science in Psychology, MHC in the summer of 2020.
I work mainly with clients who are parents/caregivers and are dealing with feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, abandonment, rejection, guilt, and other aspects relating to parenting/caregiving and life. I specialize in helping clients understand and process feelings, emotions, and symptoms.
In my sessions I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Mindfulness, Mind-Mapping, and parenting tools/techniques to meet the diverse care needs of my clients. I strongly believe in the holistic approach (mind, body, and spirit) and incorporate interventions towards improving the client's overall health and wellness.
I also offer group sessions for parents of children with similar developmental and genetic disorders. I am passionate about serving the community of parents/caregivers to help improve quality of life and relationships through Mindfulness, Agility and Perseverance (MAP).
